This mural illustrates a vast range of mystical practices and related visions. The montage of images suggests a visual analogue to Tantric teachings which maintain that by freeing our habits of perception the world itself can be transformed. The Lukhang murals provided successive generations of Dalai Lamas with an illustrated guide on their path to enlightenment.
