Detail: Head A nicely sculpted Chinese cast copper Yaoguai or taoist demon. In an animated stance with hands clasping and a small lion on the back which probably held incense. Painted with a red and gold lacquer. It dates to the early 18th century or before. Detail: Reverse View |
