The great Chinese economic expansion of recent decades and the attendant construction boom have brought two important consequences for early Chinese history: numerous ancient tombs and other archaeological sites have been disturbed and there has developed a domestic market in antiquities. Both of these factors have led to the appearance of numerous ancient bronze vessels, many of them bearing historically significant inscriptions. Investigate the most important of these artifacts.
