Detail: This exhibition is jointly presented by the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong, the Japan Foundation and UMAG. It features 85 black-and-white photographs taken by the renowned Japanese architect and designer Kijuro Yahagi (b. 1952) during the 1990s when the artist travelled twenty thousand kilometres across Japan. They reflect the artist's views on the changing relationship between man and nature in Japan, presenting to us the beauty of Nature in "hidden" areas where few people visit.
"Hidden Japan" has toured the United States, Canada, France, Malaysia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Iran, and Sri Lanka.
