Detail: Gallery Nawei will debut Life in Color,
the solo exhibition of acclaimed artist,
photographer and fashion designer
Stephen Peng Xiong Hui at ION Art this
May. His exposition will explore the
intricate notion of beauty and nature
through a series of paintings and
limited collection of handbags,
suitcases and scarves featuring his
artwork. Peng’s inspiration for his
paintings, photography and design stems
from an odyssey of wonder and travel.
From treading through the Amazon jungles
with four cameras, to studying fine
Italian cuisine in Florence and driving
alone through Europe on a photography
expedition – he always has an engaging
story to tell.
A component of the ION Art initiative,
the ION Art gallery is a dedicated art
space within ION Orchard, presenting
5,000 sq ft of exhibition space. Focused
on supporting the exhibition of modern
and contemporary art and design, ION Art
offers visitors an opportunity to savour
a diverse range of visual arts,
including multi-media and digital art.
It features significant permanent
sculpture and media installations at the
mall, as well as an annual programme of
art-based events and exhibitions at ION
Art gallery, strategically located on
level 4.
