Scheduled during Asia Week New York, Doyle New York’s Asian Works of Art auction on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10am presents the arts of China, Japan and Southeast Asia from the Neolithic Period through the 20th century. Offerings include porcelain, pottery, jade, scholar's objects, bronzes, screens, furniture and paintings.

Highlighting the sale is a pair of Chinese inlaid black lacquer cabinets elaborately decorated in gilt and finely inlaid with hardstones, Peking glass, mother-of-pearl and bone. The cabinets have an equally impressive provenance: they are known to have been in the British Embassy, Peking, and were formerly in the collection of Lord Killearn, British Ambassador to China between 1926 and 1933.

Dating to the Kangxi period (1661-1722) is a Chinese Fahua glazed three-piece garniture of immortals. Probably used for personal devotion, the garniture comprises two Guanyin with a child and a figure of Shaolou, all seated on lotus bases.
