Detail: Having chaired the Department of Chinese from 1978 to 1987, the late Professor Sheung Chung-ho (1937-2010) was widely known for his scholarship on Chinese classics. He was also a distinguished calligrapher whose works were filled with literary and erudite references and lauded by famous painters and calligraphers. This exhibition presents a critical selection of 52 of his calligraphic works in various scripts and formats, many of which are on display for the first time.
