Tsang Kin-Wah: Nothing

M+ Pavilion, West Kowloon Cultural District
Kowloon, Hong Kong
Sep 09, 2016 To Nov 06, 2016

Detail: The inaugural exhibition at the M+ Pavilion, Tsang Kin-Wah: Nothing, is an immersive experience that takes inspiration from William Shakespeare’s Macbeth (1606) and explores the essence of life and our inability to escape fate.

Hong Kong artist Tsang Kin-Wah’s site-specific installation draws on philosophy, literature, religion, and popular culture and employs text, sound, and projection to expand on his 2015 solo presentation The Infinite Nothing at the 56th Venice Biennale. Nothing suggests that life is an arduous journey that requires a constant examination of existence.

A series of programmes—including talks, a teachers’ private view, and guided tours for the public, schools, and visitors with specific needs—accompany the exhibition.
