The Macao Museum of Art of the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau will host an exhibition entitled 'Spirits Alive: Figures and Portraits from the Ming and Qing Dynasties' in collaboration with the Art Exhibitions China, Nanjing Museum and the Zhejiang Provincial Museum from September to November this year.
In order to further explore the portraiture of the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Macao Museum of Art will host a 'Symposium on Portraiture of the Ming and Qing Dynasties' on the 8th and 9th November attended by some 40 specialists from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the United States, Japan and other regions. The specialists will examine the portraiture of the dynasties, identifying artistic characteristics, achievements, schools and appreciation from different perspectives.
