Tsering Dorje


Born 1958 in Lhasa

Graduated from the Choreographic Arts Department, Shanghai Academy of Performing Arts, and undertook further studies at the Oil painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing.

Current Member of the Chinese Artists Association, Vice President of the Painters Association of Tibet, member of the Sixth and Seventh People's Political Consultative Conference of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.

His works have won numerous awards and have been exhibited both in China and abroad. Works have been shown in national exhibitions as well as in Japan, Sweden and Macao. Works that have won awards include: Religious Horns and Still Things, which have been collected by the Chinese Art Gallery; Crystal of Wisdom, which won the Good Work Award from the China Exhibition of Ethnic Minority Fine Artist Works; Potala Palace which was shown in exhibitions in and outside China. In 1992 he was invited to hold an individual painting show and conduct exchanges with counterparts in Sweden.
