Khimey House was saved from impending demolition and partially restored and rehabilitated
in a cooperation project between THF, Lhasa City Cultural Relics Burau and Lhasa Ancient
Arts Construction Company.

THF co-funded work at Khimey House, another site saved at the last minute in 1998, completed with Trace Foundation funding of US$11,545.
