A 19th century thangka painting of Buddha Shakyamuni seated on a lotus with his hands in "earth-touching mudra", flanked by two attendants and surrounded by a host of Gelugpa lineage holders. At the very top are primordial lineage figures; at bottom are Yamantaka and several protector deities. A handsome painting, beautifully rendered and in excellent condition, with marvelous detail.
