Garuda Wood Carving
Description: Contemporary Tibetan sacred art designed and created by master Tibetan wood carver, Penpa Tsering. Penpa Tsering apprenticed under a master wood carver in Tibet, before his escape to India. At Daramsala, the Tibetan capital in exile, Penpa Tsering continued his artistic work, creating works of sacred art for the temples there. Currently residing in the U.S., Penpa Tsering creates and designs altars, meditation tables and other sacred art objects for temples and individuals.
