An embroidery in silk featuring Amitābha sitting on a throne of stylised lotus flower, supported by two peacocks and a vase of offerings. In Vajrayana, Amitābha is the most ancient Buddha. He is of red colour and his vehicle is the peacock. He exhibits Samadhi Mudra, his two palms folded face up, one on top of the other Light damage under the vase. Vegetable dyes.
