Subject:Oil Lamps

I am in the process of getting insurance on some antiques left to me by my mother. I don't have any idea on these oil lamps. I'm not even sure if there from China or Japan. The pictures are not that great, I am getting a better camera to take better shots so, I am not sure if anyone will be able to tell me anything with these photo's or not. Thank you for any information you can give me. I look forward to finding out about them. I have two of them, they both have different pictures and lettering. They stand 18 inches tall and are 20in. around in diameter. they are some sort of ceramic and the metal is brass. Very ornate.

From your very blurry image I would say this is a circa 1900's Japanese Satsuma type ceramic that was originally a vase and made into a lamp font holder.
