Hello J.G.,
As a beginner I give it a try. This piece referes to a neolithic pottery jar ( 2500-2000 BC) but I miss the typical "chips" in the paste, the incised decoration ( made with a rope) is not made in line, I think the color of the paste is wrong and the painting is "too good" .... so my guess.... this peace is a modern fake.

best regards, (and waiting for opinions from the real experts)

Hai JG,

I take back my comment as I gave before. I mixed up some things (cultures) and after some searching I found out that the color(yellowish) does exist in this culture. So I better leave it to the real experts! Maybe with one question....: if this "storage jar?" is OK doesn't it fit better in the Xindian culture?

best regards,

Arjan
