Subject:Japanese teapot: age & origin? Help!

Hello! I just got this teapot and was told it was probably from the Kyoto region and made around 1890. I would like to get some information, whatever someone more knowledgeable might infer from the pictures. The bottom is unglazed and concave (might be significant...) There is a mark on the inside of the lid of the teapot (see picture) and if somebody can translate it it would be really appreciated. Thank you kindly for your time. Stef
