Subject:Asian Vase
Posted By: m.v. Sat, Oct 10, 2009 IP: 68.98.113.28 Hi, I have an asian vase up for your inspection. It is very well painted and about 13in tall. There is a marking on the base as well. I would like to know a little bit about the age and history of this item.

Posted By: Bill H Mon, Oct 12, 2009 The vase appears to be a 20th century creation, perhaps made at least partly with decals or transfers, and given a decal or weak rubber-stamped decorative underglaze mark of the Qing 18th century Qianlong reign. Some of the enamel colors, particularly the yellow and dark red, look like some I've seen from the 1930s and '40s, but the figures appear a bit later to me.
