Subject:"turn of the century temple scroll"
Posted By: Gia Rueda Wed, Oct 21, 2009 IP: 98.112.128.250

Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about this scroll. I bought it about 3 years ago from a Chinese antique dealer who said he obtained this "turn of the century" scroll from a temple in China.
It looks like the lower pole is 'ivory' and the upper is half a wooden dowel. It came with two weights of a reddish stone and tassles. Depicted is a drab moutain scene with a waterfall, bridges, two buildings, boats, and people. Can anyone tell me anything about this lovely scroll?
