Subject:Japanese covered container
Posted By: michel Mon, Mar 08, 2010 IP: 76.23.181.238 I would appreciate information about age and translation of the Kanji inscription on the bottom of the container and interior (the characters are of miniature dimensions). |

Posted By: michel Sat, Mar 13, 2010 The chawan measures 3.5" (9 cm.) in height and 2.5" (6.5 cm.) diameter. The inscriptions are minute and visible only with a magnifying glass. I enclose 3 more additional photos of the inscriptions around the clock and will appreciate your deciphering and interpretation of the Kanji text. |
