Posted By: George Sat, Mar 13, 2010 Thanks Phil. Once you point me in the direction of the period it was made, I researched further and discovered that the mark is spurious. The bronze footing and the thickness is not from the Xuande period. |

Posted By: Ian Fri, Mar 12, 2010 Your censer is Chinese but the Xuande mark is apochryphal. The underside shows no wear so it is likely to be 19th century or later. |
