The pictures are so large it take two computer screens to see them in my machine. From what I can see scrolling across, the carving doesn't look particularly skilled, but that may just be the sheer close-up size of the pics.
Why do you say it is Rhinoceros horn? That's not a material that would have been available to Japanese carvers much prior to Adm. Perry's visit in 1856, and uncommon to the extreme for some time after that. A few netsuke were made from water buffalo horn, and antler, but . . .
If you are correct about the material, I'd have to guess early 20th century at the oldest.
But as with any netsuke, on-screen judgment is difficult. They need to be held in the hand.
