Subject:Old baitong (?) "hot pot"

I bought this in a market shop in Shanghai about 20 years ago. It appears to be a hotpot for cooking soup. On the top is a metal cup (for adding water, I think). It is heated from the bottom. Can anyone date it? Is this bai tong?

It could be vintage, but the handles may provide a better clue to its age.
Yes, probably is Baitong. Doesn't matter though. Baitong is just brass with a larger proportion of zinc, giving it a lighter color than the usual brass.
