Subject:odd porcelain piece
Posted By: dorrbell Fri, Mar 19, 2010 IP: 64.142.87.237 5 3/4" x 7/8" chinese tray or box lid for ink. At least that is what it appears to be. There may have been another piece that this would have been placed upon. I just don't know. Any thoughts? |

Posted By: rat Thu, Apr 01, 2010 this is not a lid nor a storage box for ink but an inkstone itself with a ceramic grinding surface, the recessed round pool around the grinding surface for water, the lid missing. lots of fakes on the market these days. |
