The previous post didn't have the wooded figure photos. Does anyone know anything about it? It is 7" tall. On the back is a little piece that comes out to reveal a crudely cut out space. It is missing a piece off the chair, and from what he holds in his hand. Thanks.

This is a deity from a house altar, judging from its size. Seems to miss something in the right hand. I would say it is vintage, not antique.

Many Daoist deities of a certain size have the compartment in the back. Some objects are sealed inside in a ceremony before it is put on the altar.

Condition is too good for it to be very old - particularly in the gold areas. Normally incense is burned in close proximity to these which will darken items over extended periods of time. Would agree its definitely vintage.
