Subject:small teracotta [Ming?] figurine

17 centimeter figurine. To me it appears to be in a typical Ming style. I think it more likely that is much later. It is a rather thin walled two piece mold. It also has a low fired "feel" to me. That is another reason why I am surprised that it is in such good condition. There is a touch of yellow splashed carefully onto the bag at his knee. It is also painted white on the backside and face. I found it in Shanxi. Can anybody tell me anything about it; age, who it represents, usage, etc. Thanks one and all

Hi,
I don't know anything about this or its age, but it gives the feeling that it was a long time outdoors. So, a figure from a temple roof, etc. would be a possibility.
In this case it would be possible to find remains of grey binder material on the bottom.
