Subject:marble art by yi chun chi lun(宜春齒輪) antique
Posted By: rochelle Mon, Sep 03, 2012 IP: 24.247.123.192 Hi guys! I recently acquired a cool piece of old marble art that says 宜春齒輪 ( yi chun chi lun) I was just wondering if anyone had any other information about it. It is a marble piece inside a box, almost like a presentation of some sort. |

Posted By: rat Tue, Sep 04, 2012 looks like it's supposed to be a souvenir from Sun Yat-sen's mausoleum in Nanjing. also it may be that your third character is not "chi" but "xi" (west, we recently saw a seal script version fo "west" that looked like this), not sure what the idiom is supposed to be unless it's possibly a Japanese name? but that's rather a stretch I think. |

Posted By: rat Mon, Sep 10, 2012 no earlier than 1929, when the mausoleum was completed, but likely a lot more recent than that, say from the 1980s to the present. |
