Subject:Antique Vase

I bought this Vase around 10 years back, in a second hand shop. It's 11 and a half inches tall. Both sides have the same design of the flower. The top and bottom of the vase have a square shape. It's quite an unusually shaped vase. It looks as if it has been hand made and hand painted. I was wondering if you would be able to help me identify the origin, and the period of time it could've have been made.

I've never owned anything like it but it doesn't appear to be antique. Looks more like a 1960's-70's decorative piece.
