Subject:Any info on Stamp
Posted By: JReid Sat, Apr 20, 2013 IP: 24.69.197.169

i found this stamp yesterday and i know nothing about it. a couple friends have helped, one says that the writing is mandarin, and the other says that the middle characters mean "wild boar, lion"

I'm not even sure about what the material is.

A local antique dealer suggested i post some images on here for help, because she wasn't sure about any details either.

thanks in advance,

JReid

Middle text: "野猪, 狮子" (Wild Boar, Lion)

Surrounding text: "多诺万", "唐纳德", "亞力山大" and "坎贝尔"

Donovan, Donald, Alexander, and Kanbeini (as in "Campbell" or "Company").

The Chinese characters are spelled out to sound like English. I would probably read the fourth word as "Company".
