Found this box of prints and would like help with translation on lid of box. All prints are different and marked on the back of different areas of japan.

The label might indicate a relatively late date.

How large are the prints -- length/width?

The small text lists Hiroshige as the artist. The large text states that it is the 53 Staions of the Tokaido. The quality of the print shown makes it obvious that it is a (poor) reproduction. My guess is that you are right and the prints are not the original oban (10" X 15") size but smaller.

These are small prints about the size of a jumbo index card

You likely have a boxed set of reproductions of the Hoeido edition of Hiroshige's series "The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido". The place names on the back are likely the station depicted in the print. For example, the print you show is station 46 - Shono.
