Subject:Japanese or Chinese Blue Glaze Vase
Posted By: Hank Mon, May 06, 2013 IP: 76.179.158.57

This vase measures 5.25 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter across at it's widest part.It is clear glazed inside and has lines going down it all around it where the brown glaze is but maybe hard to see in photos. On base it has what looks like a backwards P with line extending upward from that and a line crossing that line at 45 degree angle.
I am trying to describe it since it is not very easy to see in the photo of base. Would that just be a country mark or artist mark ?

Here are a couple more photos. One shows the lines in vase going down and around the vase opposite of the lines in the blue glaze.
It is hard to take a photo of the mark on base since it is glazed over and light reflections making it hard to see as well so I drew the mark as best as I could.
