Eric, bad news..this item is made to deceive. It is not Jade, but a Serpentine, and cut in a way to make it look old, which it is not. Most likely an Obama Dynasty carving.

Rough and vague carvings all over this piece. Material is unlikely to be precious Chinese nephrite. What's with the mushroom or knob on its back? Modern repro and a very badly done piece in fact. Be wary when sellers tell you that it has bronze on the surface possibly due to contact with other burial artifacts.
