Subject:Japanese Vase Info Please

Hi,

I found this little brass or bronze vase at a thrift store and I thought it was rather different looking. I was hoping somebody could help me identify the mark and approximate age. I believe it is Japanese but I'm not sure. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you for any replies.

I did some editing of the image of the seal and it reads 'Bisei' (美西). I don't know if there could be some connection with Unno Bisei/Yoshimori II (海野美盛 - 1864-1919) but it could also be a trademark.
