Subject:what are the images on this lamp? demons? ghost? cormorants?

hello
i got a supposedly antique lamp in an estate sale.
the shade and finial are new. there is a figure of a man and two smaller images. my best guess is that it is of a fisherman and two cormorants. however, the smaller images dont look like birds, more like ghosts or demons.

so, what do people think?

They are bats; an auspicious symbol to the Chinese people. The word for 'bat' and 'good fortune' are homonyms in Chinese.

Cheers,
Stan
