Subject:Help With Identification/Two Large Woodblock Prints
Posted By: Lance Frazer Mon, May 22, 2017 IP: 2601:0204:4001:3df5: Again, I must ask the learned members of the Forum for assistance in print identification. I have done a number of different searches for these images, with no success, so will be most grateful for any help. |

Posted By: rat Thu, May 25, 2017 Bingo, thanks mikeoz! Always good to pay attention to the seals... I first guessed the character as some variant of 刻 that somehow inserted a 刀 and 丶 for reasons unclear. The seal refuted this line of speculation but 剛 didn't come to my mind, I see that you are right as usual though! |

Posted By: Lance Frazer Thu, May 25, 2017 My thanks to you both. I did find one reference to this artist (a painting being auctioned on Ebay), and the style certainly looks the same. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CHINESE-ANTIQUE-20TH-CENTURY-ORIGINAL-DU-JING-GANG-PAINTING-/142073745428?hash=item2114415014%3Ag%3A~ZMAAOSwAuZX4qQ6 |
