Subject:Chinese carved hardwood box
Posted By: GerryG Mon, Jun 26, 2017 IP: 86.44.179.1 Hi, I'd be obliged if anyone can offer information pertaining to this box's age, origin, use etc. It has some damage. The dragons have four claws. I'd be interested to know what the inscription reads if possible. Images are of the front, back and interior which features it's own carving in relief centred by a blank cartouche. Dimensions are 30 cms in length, 20 in width and 5 cms in height. Thanks Gerry
