Subject:Help with Crackle Vase Chinese? Japanese?

Posted By: Robert Thu, Jul 06, 2017 It's Japanese for sure. Possibly originally made as a small preserve jar then re-purposed as a tea ceremony water jar. Possibly old Satsuma owing to the glazing but I have not seen that exact form, though. The online collection of the Freer-Sackler Gallery has numerous images of Japanese pottery that you can browse or search.
