Posted By: Bill H Wed, Jul 19, 2017 Possibly late Republic-mid-20th century. Motif of "Eight Immortals on the Waves". Whoever painted this had a naïve appreciation of human anatomy, tending to give childlike hands and arms to some of the adult figures. I've seen similar porcelain paintings before. Here's a vase from around the same time and having more or less the same painting style. The past owner was of the opinion or had been given to believe it was Qianlong period. |
