I have a beautiful vintage silk picture of birds that I would like more information on. There is Chinese writing that I would like to get translated plus I would like to know the history if possible. It is from the 60s 70s or 80s A value estimation would also be appreciated.Thanks.

this may not predate the 1990s at all. it's decorative, perhaps made for the tourist trade. the "seal" suggests it was made at a factory specializing in silk handicrafts like this in Guangdong province.

I bought this silk picture from a young Chinese fellow who said this plus other pictures that I bought from him were from his grandfathers restaurant in Hong Kong to decorate his restaurant I presume. He said they were old. Maybe 20 years is old for him. I have another picture of ships made with brass that I was initially asking him about is obviously older. I added the pictures below. He maybe didn't know exactly how old the silk picture was and assumed they were around the same age.

Thanks Bill for your reply and sharing the link. I followed the link and found out there are many other variations of silk pictures of birds with the same theme. I gather from the information that this picture could be from the 70s to 90s possibly and that it has cultural as well as handicraft value.

Thanks Nagy I checked the link that Bill gave and I checked the seal on my picture with the one in the link and it is the same so I assume they are made by the same company. The picture from the link was from the seventies so possibly my picture is from the seventies as well if my conclusions are correct.
