Subject:Chinese export silver bracelet mark
Posted By: Brett Wed, Jul 19, 2017 IP: 69.117.76.255

I picked this up last week. I don't necessarily think it is very old although truthfully, I have no idea. Any idea what the mark says? Thanks for any help.

Dear Brett

The silver stamp 足銀 indicates that the purity of silver is about 99%
(There is an another marking 紋銀 indicating
92.5 silver purity.)
With regards,

Thank you both for your answers. I figured that's what the mark might have meant as I had another bracelet I asked about a few years ago, and I was told meant 'pure silver'. Except on that post it was mentioned that although it had the mark it was most likely fake, and not silver. Is that how it works with these marks? Could it possibly be pure silver or is this mark commonly seen on fakes? It is quite heavy and weighs 45 grams.
