Very grateful for the information, truly a big help, many thanks.
I have added more photos above, which may help an IP expert w/ any possible date to be given by the design character of the bottle itself

Best,

Kevin

This is a modern, tourist trade inside painted snuff bottle, so probably 1993 then.

Hello,
Thank you for the post
I am not that familiar with the tourist trade bottles. this one seems to be done much better than most that I have seen under that label, maybe similar at the higher end(?)

Kind regards

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Tourist trade bottles are those that were not made for domestic Chinese consumption but rather to sell in shops to tourists. Snuff went out of style in China by the early 1930s, so most antique snuff bottles date to that period or earlier. I included a hexagonal bottle of mine with a court maidens scene (made around 1960 or so) and a Ye Zhongsan bottle date 1913 (belonged to George, one of the moderators on the snuff bottle forum) so that you can see what older style inside painting looks like. There are also a number of contemporary painters in China who paint bottles with exquisite decoration for the collector market, but that is another topic.
