Posted By: Martin Michels Tue, Aug 29, 2017 The marks on both vases spell: Kinkozan 金光山 Asano 浅野 Zo 造 (Made by Asano for Kinkozan), Satsuma-like ware from the 1920's. |

Posted By: Bokaba Tue, Aug 29, 2017 This is Satsuma (soft paste earthenware), not Arita (hard paste porcelain), and likely from the Kyoto area. It is decorated in a Moriaga style relief. I would think it was made sometime between early and mid-20th Century. |
