Subject:18th Century Willow Plate
Posted By: Bokaba Sun, Sep 03, 2017 IP: 2605:e000:af16:3b00:

Hi Plasticman,

I just purchased another blue willow themed plate. I would think late Qianlong/early Jiaqing. The brush washed blue underglaze to fill in space tends to be lower quality and later (from what I have seen though the technique was used in the Kangxi period as well). The rim is also a buff color with some grit. What do you think?

Thank you

Bokaba

I believe the plate is an above- average quality of the "willow" pattern made in the late 18th century.
