Subject:Yoshitoshi Woodcut Print Need To Know About - Thanks!!
Posted By: Gary Knudtzon Wed, Oct 04, 2017 IP: 97.126.97.148

I have a Miniature of the Famous Yoshitoshi Woodcut Print "Fujiwara No Yasumasa Playing The Flute By Moonlight. What is weird is that it is definitely an original Handmade woodcut Print on what looks like old original Paper that is similar to the Paper used on Yoshitoshi's Woodcut Prints. But the woodcut is only 11 x 5.5 inches and is missing the small square portion of writing that is beside the other writings on the bottom corner. Found this Woodcut Print Framed and sealed in a Frame that I would Date about 30 years old and the Print itself does look much older then the Frame it was put in. Did Yoshitoshi make some smaller examples? Any insight on this Piece would be Highly Appreciated!! Thank You!! Gary K
