Posted By: Gary Knudtzon Mon, Oct 09, 2017 IP: 97.126.111.25

Thank You again for your Extremely Valuable Help in the Past week on other Items of mine! Need help in Translating Stamped Hallmark on bottom of this what I believe to be an Edo Period Japanese Hizen Ware Porcelain Goat Figurine. Also letting me know if I am correct in my identifying of this Figurine. Any Help is Highly Appreciated! Thanks!! Sincerely, Gary Knudtzon

The reading possibilities in Japanese are,
1st from right to left,
眞菖 Ma-aya Ma-ayame or Shinshou
2nd from left to right
菖眞 Shouma
I could not finf any relevance between this name and Hizen ware, so far

With regards,
I.Nagy

Thanks Again I.Nagy!! You are truly a Valuable source of History and Asian Language. I was just guessing as to its Hizen Ware Possibility by comparing it with other Hizen Ware Figurines on the Net. Sincerely, Gary K
