Subject:Small jar/urn

I have this small jar with foo dog on it and I would like some help dating it. It's about 8 inches tall and it is hand painted.

This looks like a mid-20th Century or so Japanese piece with a factory pattern mark on the base.

Both marks read as: Hidari 左 (left) Ni 二 (two / 2). So one of a pair.
Regards,
Martin.

The mark is a factory notation indicating 'vase #2 for left side" (in a garniture display).

Best regards,

Bill H.
