Subject:Pair of Qinglong vases
Posted By: Reeves Sat, Dec 02, 2017 IP: 2601:2c3:800:96d:2d1

Bought these two at a estate sale earlier today wanted to share. Not sure how old it actually is. I’ve noticed chinese porcelain has the tendency to be ancient and still look new. But I’m keeping a open mind. Its hand painted, I’m assuming it’s Famille Rose. I love the detail. The porcelain feels pretty thin. Different then the other porcelain ive handled. Any input would be well received.

Dear Reeves

Some black elements of the design on your piece are transfer printed - but not all - such as the plaintain leaves. Therefore this object postdates the introduction of transfer printing in China in c. 1925.

Kind regards
J.Lim
