Subject:Little Asian Boy

It has been 4 years since I last posted on this forum. I always have had great respect for the knowledge of the members. I come to you with a simple request. Please help me identify a metal statue of a little boy that I recently purchased (see photos 1&2). I believe it may be Japanese. I could not find a comparable unit when I did my research. I really like the casting and the art. But the main reason why I purchase it was that it looks exactly like my grandson. The similarity is uncanny. There are some Asian characters on the back (see photo 3) which I hope you can identify. It is 10.75” tall and 6.25” at its widest location. It is made of a nonferrous metal which weighs 2.75 lbs. I realize that it may not be old or valuable. It may even be common. But any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
