The apocryphal mark says "Made during the (Ming) Chenghua Reign". This type of Chenghua-marked crackle glaze vase with faux bronze applications was popular during the Qing Guangxu reign (1875-1908) and the ensuing Republic era (1912-1949). Most I've seen from the Qing period seemed to have classic decoration of Warring States martial scenes and hard to read Chenghua reign marks. This pair, with their pacific motif and more neatly inscribed mark, strikes me as probably made in the Republic era.

Best regards,

Bill H.
