Subject:Help identifying mark and/or origin of tea set
Posted By: Jackie Tue, Feb 13, 2018 IP: 50.86.53.137

Obtained from an estate. Found in a box labeled "tea set from mother's room" ... I have no other information and none of the local collectible shops have been able to help so far.

I read the stylized seal script character as 祁 Qi,
and if I put it in tea context, it only could be the first character of the well known 祁門 Qimen or Keemun tea brand.

With regards,
I.Nagy

Thanks I.Nagy I did a search of Qimen/Keemun and still don't see anything similar in style. But it's at least a starting point for more research and a more info than I had to start with. I'll add a picture of the pattern and set to show style if I can get one small enough to upload.
